Privacy Policy

When you create an account we store your email address and name. When you use TriggerScan we store the information you provide or generate, including your trigger profiles (allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions, medications, and medical conditions), scan queries and results, reaction and symptom logs, medication reminders, ingredient alerts, personal goals, and family seat invitations you send or receive.

We use your information to provide and personalize the service — analyzing items against your trigger profile, tracking your history and insights, sending reminders and alerts, managing family plan seats, and processing your subscription. We also use aggregate, de-identified data to improve the app and detect usage trends.

TriggerScan relies on several service providers to operate: the Base44 platform for hosting, authentication, and data storage; Wix Payments (branded as Base44 Payments) to process subscription checkout; barcode lookup services such as Open Food Facts; and AI providers that help analyze scans. These providers process your data only to deliver the service and under their own privacy and security practices. We do not sell your personal information.

Your data is stored securely on the Base44 platform and is associated with your account. Access to your records is restricted to you (and, for family plan seats, the plan owner who invited you). We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can access and update your information through the app at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data — profiles, scans, logs, reminders, and favorites — using the Delete Account option in your Profile. Deletion cannot be undone.

TriggerScan is intended for general use and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
